LENOVO IS GOING TO HOST SECOND ANNUAL TECH WORLD WITH INDUSTRY TECH GIANTS

Lenovo today announced that LenovoTechWorld, the company’s strategic technology conference, comes to San Francisco on June 9, 2016. The second annual conference brings together some of the industry’s top leaders along with Lenovo chairman and CEO Yang Yuanqing for the keynote address where they’ll probe the most promising and emerging topics in innovation, including virtual reality, smart connected devices/IoT and harnessing the power of the cloud to transform people’s lives.

Tech World 2016 will also host major product announcements; we’ll launch the world’s first consumer Project Tango-enabled smartphone in partnership with Google. Project Tango brings augmented reality to your smartphone, including gaming, navigation, and other utilities. This device gives you a totally new way to experience the world – enabling you to do things never imagined, from indoor mapping your way around a museum to creating a 3D gaming environment to visualizing how a new refrigerator fits into your kitchen.

Lenovo will also announce new mobile technology designed by Motorola that will dramatically change the way people think about and use their most personal devices - in a snap.

World's smallest SSD from Samsung



As a leading SSD provider, Samsung has a history of introducing advanced SSDs ahead of the industry. In June 2013, Samsung introduced XP941 SSD in M.2 (mini PCI-Express 2.0). Samsung announced that it has begun production on its latest SSD, a 512gb NVMe PCIe fitted in a ball grid array package, making this hard drive than a US postage stamp. Designed for the next generation of super thin ultrabooks comes, the PM971-NVMe comes in at 20mm*16mm*1.5mm, and weight about 1 gram. It will also "triple the performance of a typical SATA SSD. Jung-bae Lee, Samsung's senior vice president of memory product planning and application engineering team, said in a statement. With read/write speeds of up to 1,500MB/s and 900MB/s, respectively, and the ability to transfer a manufacture the SSD in 128gb, 256gb, and 512gb capacities, and make them available to its customers next month.

Thinner and lighter MacBook with touch

Apple launches MacBook Pro with Touch ID with thinner and lighter models 
Apple is going to refresh completely it's Mac this year, according a new research by Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. Popularly regarded as the most trusted analyst for all rumors/speculations regarding Apple, Kuo claims that the models will be "thinner and lighter" and the design will largely be borrowed from the company's 12-inch MacBook. Further, the upcoming MacBook Pro models will also feature Touch ID support along with a new OLED display touch bar above the keyboard. The touch bar is supposed to replace the function keys at the top of the keyboard.

The updates will be arriving to 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook models by fourth quarter of this year and calls them the "brightest spot for Apple's 2016 roll outs." Not only the 13-inch and 15-inch models are said to be updated, but the company is also rumored to bring a new 13-inch MacBook that will be similar to the 12-inch Retina MacBook model. The analyst predicts that Apple will eventually make the MacBook Air an entry-level model, while the MacBook and the MacBook Pro will be the mid-tier and high-end models. 

Apple is bringing SIRI to Mac OS

Apple was recently also rumored to bring Siri to the OS X v10.12 as well. The feature is said to be demonstrated during the Apple's upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference. Voice command support for tasks like opening apps, conducting web searches, controlling Home Kit, sending text messages, reading emails, setting calendar events and more is expected to come through siri os x version.
